No job is too big or too small.

Pick up the phone or drop me an email outlining what you are looking for.

First, I’ll ask you to complete a discovery questionnaire so I can find out more about your business. Once I receive your responses, we’ll discuss what you need and how I can help you.

Then, I’ll go away and do some further research. I’ll come back to you with a proposal including a quote and estimated timeframe.

Then we can agree on a brief.

That includes the angles of your story or assignment, your copy to be edited and/or the research you want done.

We’ll also agree on word counts and deadline as well as payment and any additional expenses such as travel or utility bills.

If you’re ready to go ahead, all you have to do is sign a writer’s agreement and return it to me and pay a 50% deposit.

I’ll carry out the work, providing you with regular updates at each stage if required, and deliver it on or before the agreed deadline.

You’ll then receive an invoice for the balance.

Full payment is required within 30 days of receipt, whether my work is used or not.

  1. I’ll research your business and tone of voice. This may involve interviews with relevant experts and analysis of your customer base, and products or services.
  2. I’ll write your copy.
  3. I’ll send it to you to review.
  4. If any edits are required I’ll do them in a timely fashion.
  5. Once you’re happy with the final product, I’ll invoice you for the remaining 50% of the fee.
  6. You’ll proudly publish your sparkling new copy.
Copywriting is essentially writing persuasive content that gets the reader to sit up and take action.

Essentially you need copywriting for:

  • Email marketing campaigns
  • Brochures
  • Website copy
  • About pages/biographies
  • Blog posts
  • Article submissions/white papers
  • Social media
  • Ebooks
  • Case studies
  • Testimonials
  • Newsletters/ezines
  • Information products
  • Curriculum for new coaching programmes
  • Sales pages
  • Opt-in offers

I’ll complete the work on or before the agreed deadline, unless it is changed for a valid reason afterwards.

Should the deadline have to be put back for any reason by either your or me (personal illness, circumstances or further information needed to complete a task), I’ll, where reasonably practicable, give you at least 24 hours’ notice.

The timescale depends on the length of the work and the amount of editing and/or research required.

For example, I’ll typically take one month to complete a 2,000-word in-depth feature provided I’m given sufficient advance notice; proofreading and editing 10 pages of A4 copy will typically take two days.

I price my work per project. We work out what you need and how much work is required and then agree on a fee.

My fee depends on the complexity of the work, including research and writing time.

Two revisions are included within the quoted price.

The full fee is required to be paid event if you don’t decide to use my work.

I retain the copyright for the work until the fee is paid in full.

My minimum charge is £300 per assignment and my day rate is from £350.

New clients are required to pay 50% of the fee upfront.

Work that requires a quicker than normal turnaround costs an additional fee, agreed in advance.

For larger jobs, I will require you to sign a contract.

Sample prices:

Website evaluation including 30-minute video call with a short written analysis report from £200.

Homepage rewrite from £300.

Four new web pages from £800.

Blog post series (minimum of three) from £500.

If that works for you, let’s talk.

Once a brief has been agreed and before I start work, you will be required to pay a 50% deposit.

Full payment is required within 30 days of receipt of Alex Wright’s invoice, whether Alex Wright’s work is used or not.

All payment is made via bank transfer.

A rate of 10% interest per day, after the 30-day period following receipt of any invoice, will be charged for late or non-payment.

If a brief is terminated, cancelled or ended prematurely for any reason, payment for all work completed and expenses incurred to date is required within 30 days of receipt of the invoice for such work and expenses. Interest will apply in the same way as set out above.

In some instances I may have to incur reasonable expenses including but not limited to travel, food, accommodation, telephone calls, texts and wi-fi charges as a result of the work carried out, for which I’ll invoice you.
